What is a podcast?
A podcast is a lot like a radio talk show. But, instead of listening
at a specific time, you download the podcast and listen to it
whenever you want. You can listen to a podcast on your computer, or
on a portable MP3 player. You can even copy a podcast to a CD and
listen to it that way.
The word podcast comes from Pod—short for iPod, one of the most
popular MP3 players on the market—and cast—short for broadcasting.
One of the really cool things about podcasts is it's the listener
who decides what to listen to and when to listen to it.
