Submission Guidelines

Firefly & Serenity are copyrighted by Joss Whedon, FOX, Universal, and a passel of other people. We here at Tales From The `Verse are just borrowing the characters and the setting to take them out for a spin. We don't and won't make any money off of this venture—it's just for love of Joss and his crew that we do this. We don't wanna get sued.

Tales From The `Verse accepts original fiction based on Joss Whedon's Firefly & Serenity.

Tales From The `Verse is an audio-book format, not a pod-drama format. Thus, submissions in script format will not be accepted.

1. E-mail submissions to: talesfromtheverse@gmail.com. Include the words "story submission" in the subject line of your e-mail. We only accept submissions by e-mail. A Microsoft Word attachment is preferred, but we will accept a current link to an archived Web site.

2. Previously published stories are fine, as are stories with original characters that are set in the Firefly universe.

3. Stories should be between 2,000-12,000 words. Make sure your submissions are well-edited for grammar and spelling.

4. Please include your name, a brief description of your story, and a short third-person biography of yourself along with your submission. Also include an e-mail address where we can contact you regarding your story.

5. If you are using Chinese in your stories, please provide it in English using angle brackets <like this>. We will work with Chinesepod www.chinesepod.com to make sure that the translation goes smoothly.

6. We accept stories of any rating. However, graphic descriptions of sex are right out.

7. Only submit your own, original work. We don't take too kindly to plagiarism here.
